INTERVIEW
I am trying difficult things and new things all the time.
Toshiaki TsubukuEngineering Department Production Engineering Group Assistant Manager

I’ve always enjoyed making things by hand. When I was a small child, I often built plastic models. When I grew up, I got interested in automobiles and aircrafts, and was hoping to get a manufacturing job in which I can deal with those.
In my previous job, I experienced a wide variety of work from machining center, grinding, production administration of sample parts, engineering, and sales. Among those experiences, the concept of manufacturing I learned there is now leveraged in my current job as a production engineer for turbine blades mass production.

CHAPTER 01

Job Description

Job Description

I design process and jig to manufacture products with CAD, and launch new products and processes. I'm also in charge of troubleshooting process and facilities, and facility maintenance. Additionally, I check our current method and improve it.

CHAPTER 02

Attractiveness to work with AeroEdge

Attractiveness to work with AeroEdge

I am fascinated by the large-scale business of mass producing engine parts for aircrafts that will fly in the sky for decades despite the fact that AeroEdge is still a young company. Another attractive part of AeroEdge is that I can actively explore the facilities and methods that you can see nowhere else. It is because AeroEdge always focuses on the cutting-edge machining and engineering, and when they are proper fit for us, they are adopted.

The thought that counts

The thought that counts

I feel a heavy responsibility and high pressure in my job because of mass production, and even more, we deal with aircraft parts. I have a sense of accomplishment that I can never experience somewhere else when I apply methods, product form, and processed dimensions to the site using CAD and see real products come to life. Despite a minor improvement, I believe continuously trying to improve QCD would become a decent merit as long as the effect is long lasting.

I joined AeroEdge in April, 2016. I was interested in Manufacturing, especially in the field of aerospace. So before coming to AeroEdge, I was in charge of production engineering and quality control at a local manufacturer for aircraft engine parts (turbine blades and compressor blades, etc.) While making use of manufacturing concepts I learned in my previous job, I'm working on my tasks with the words of AeroEdge's management philosophy, "independence" and "creativity" in mind.
