Tool design support
We support the design and function of the jig best suited to the machining method, as well as the automation of the clamping jig, according to the customer’s needs.
Support for optimization of machining conditions
AeroEdge’s strengths in machining and grinding include support for optimizing machining conditions according to material properties and required accuracy, tool selection, and even specialized tool development.
Process automation support
Based on the automation line from the completion of processing to measurement, which has been proven by AeroEdge, we support the selection, introduction and operation of the system according to the customer’s automation needs.
3D modeling
Create and provide a 3D model based on the drawing information.
Reverse engineering
Using AeroEdge’s high-precision 3D scanners, we can capture the actual shape of the object as digital data and create and provide drawings and 3D models.
Measurement
Using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), we perform dimensional measurements on drawings and 3D models, and provide not only the data of the measurement results, but also inspection charts and model matching results.
Verification of measurement results
We provide verification results of the validity of CMM measurement results using AeroEdge’s measurement know-how, including general-purpose measurement technology.

Case Study
Tool design support
We have been commissioned by an overseas manufacturer to design and manufacture jigs and fixtures, utilizing the know-how we have cultivated through our experience in in-house prototyping and process development for mass production of aerospace parts. In machining processes such as waterjet, machining, and grinding, the design of product fixturing plays a very important role in order to withstand the load during machining, to be more robust, to reduce management and maintenance costs, and to allow efficient handling within the facility. AeroEdge’s unique know-how and experience in producing parts for the aerospace industry was used to provide support.
Nondestructive testing start-up support
We provided support for the start-up of fluorescence penetrant testing (PT, Method-D) by utilizing our expertise in the start-up of nondestructive testing, which we have cultivated through the manufacture of aerospace components. By providing support to small and medium-sized companies aiming to enter the aerospace industry, we contributed to the establishment of non-destructive testing, which is a major issue in Japan’s aerospace industry, and to the training of non-destructive inspectors.
